Bookkeeper - Part-time
Job Overview
The Part-Time Bookkeeper (20 hours per week) role is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the high-net worth private clients are accurate. They also assist the Account Manager in overseeing the finances of the assigned clients.
Location
Newport Beach, CA – Hybrid (approximately 2 days a week in Newport Beach is preferred)
What You’ll Do
- Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform and review credit card and bank reconciliations
- Maintain electronic filing system
- General communication with vendors, clients, and client representatives via phone, email, and in-person
- Perform and review cash flow reports and cash balances as required
- Aid in assembling information for year-end tax packages for the tax team
- Assist in answering insurance questions
- Prepare and review 1099 reports
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Aid in the preparation and processing of payroll, as well as applicable reporting
- Print reports (such as financial statements) for review
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- Supervise and train assigned team members
What You’ll Bring
- Preferred: 2+ years of bookkeeping experience in an entertainment business management firm
- Experience with Agilink and/or DataFaction software is nice to have but not required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred
- Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data with a critical eye
- Professional demeanor and communications
- Thorough knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, procedures, and practices
- Understanding of a chart of accounts, mortgages and leases, payroll taxes, and use of divisions and journals
- Detail oriented and organized
Compensation
The national average hourly rate for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits, and this role will average 20 hours per week. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
