The Role
You’ll conduct audits of helicopter operators across use cases such as corporate and charter flying, offshore operations, HEMS, utility and infrastructure support. Assignments may include on-site operational audits, SMS assessments, or fleet and maintenance compliance reviews.
What You’ll Do
- Audit compliance with FAA, ICAO, and industry helicopter safety standards, including SMS and operational control systems
- Evaluate helicopter flight operations, crew competence, training programs, and technical airworthiness management
- Conduct on-site or remote audits of helicopter operators across the United States and internationally
- Deliver findings in concise structured audit reports with practical findings and risk-reduction recommendations
What You Bring To The Table
- Operational helicopter background (experienced helicopter pilot, maintenance engineer, or comparable technical or operational role)
- Proven training and experience as an aviation safety auditor (e.g., IOSA, SMS, regulatory, or internal audit frameworks)
- Strong understanding of helicopter-specific operational risks, maintenance control, and safety management systems
- English fluency required; additional languages beneficial
