US Accountant (Remote, Full-Time)

We Are Looking For

• Someone who has supported multiple U.S. clients and enjoys solving accounting problems, not simply recording transactions.
• Someone who has worked for a CPA firm, accounting firm, bookkeeping firm, or fractional CFO firm serving multiple U.S. clients.
• Someone who can independently reconcile an entire balance sheet and investigate differences.
• Someone who understands accrual accounting and the month-end close process.
• Someone who communicates clearly in spoken and written English and enjoys asking questions and working through accounting problems with the team.
• Someone who takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments.
• Someone who can clearly explain accounting issues and the steps they've taken to resolve them.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Month-end close
• Full balance sheet reconciliations
• Researching and resolving accounting discrepancies
• Journal entries and accrual accounting
• Preparing accurate financial statements for CFO review
• Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously

Desired Skills

• Strong QuickBooks Online experience
• Understanding accrual accounting and the month-end close process
• Clear communication in spoken and written English
• Experience asking questions and working through accounting problems with the team
• Ability to communicate early when stuck instead of waiting until a deadline
• Experience explaining accounting issues and the steps taken to resolve them

Schedule

Full-time only. You must be available during U.S. Eastern business hours between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM EST.
