Role Overview

The University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) is seeking a locum Urologist to provide regional on-call services to Northern BC.

The successful applicant will work with the current urology division members in providing comprehensive urologic care to the community, with a referral base within the Northern Health Authority of British Columbia (approximate catchment population of 350,000–400,000).

On-call commitment includes extended regional coverage within the Northern Health Authority. Hospital resources, including OR, cystoscopy, and ambulatory care time, will be accessible to the on-call locum.

About UHNBC & Prince George

As the regional tertiary care centre for Northern BC, UHNBC serves a vast geographical area, providing specialized and advanced medical services. UHNBC is a 280-bed hospital and a Level 3 Trauma Centre, affiliated with the UBC Northern Medical Program, the UBC Family Medicine Residency Program, and other associated healthcare training programs. The BC Cancer Centre for the North is situated adjacent and provides outpatient medical and radiation oncology services.

Known as British Columbia’s northern capital (the 4th largest city in BC), Prince George is located at the approximate geographic centre of the province where the Nechako and Fraser Rivers meet.
