About the role

The Department of Urology at the University of Miami is seeking an exceptional candidate with research experience for a non-tenure research track assistant professor position.

Responsibilities

  • Create, disseminate, and implement rigorous, innovative methodologies across the entire spectrum of basic science research.
  • Participate in MSOM research programs to enhance faculty, staff, and student efforts in education, research, and service.
  • Engage in both methodological and collaborative research with existing faculty members.
  • Show commitment to team science and possess effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Develop and obtain externally funded, independent research.
  • Represent the Department and the University at professional meetings locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Publish seminal research findings in refereed, high impact journals, and book chapters.
  • Collaborate with other faculty to obtain research funding for multi-disciplinary research.
  • Aid in the development of strategic partnerships with departments, centers, and institutes at the University.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree from an accredited university.
  • Evidence of a growing body of outstanding scholarship.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead innovative research projects to successful conclusions.
  • Significant publication record in peer-reviewed publications.
  • Evidence of being able to secure and sustain extramural funding.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
