Urologist - Inpatient Locum Tenens

About the Role

The position involves providing inpatient urological care through 24-hour shifts, managing general urological cases, and performing procedures such as ureteroscopy and laser treatments.

Clinicians will cover approximately 7-10 days per month, handle a caseload of 6-12 patients daily, participate in call duties with a ratio of about 1:4 to 1:6, and manage cases on-site. The role may include some outpatient procedures and requires documentation using Epic EMR.

The position offers strong clinical support, including onsite APRNs, and involves no leadership or teaching duties. It is a full inpatient role with a focus on quality patient management and effective care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient urological care during 24-hour shifts
• Manage general urological cases and perform procedures (e.g., ureteroscopy, laser treatments)
• Handle a caseload of 6-12 patients daily
• Participate in call duties (ratio of 1:4 to 1:6)
• Manage cases on-site, including some outpatient procedures
• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board certification in Urology (mandatory)
• Proficiency in general urology and advanced endoscopic techniques
• Experience with ureteroscopy and laser certification
• Experience with ESWL procedures (a plus)
