URGENTLY HIRING: Lab Technician
About the role
This is a unique company that is well versed in the art and science of catalyst recycling and has been the leader of the catalytic converter and non-ferrous metals recycling industry for over 30 years. We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician with experience in data collection and interpretation as well as being responsible for performing routine chemical testing of samples in a laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Document each sample accurately and thoroughly
- Follow established written procedures
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate analytical instruments including XRF and ICP
- Prepare chemical solutions used in testing, including use of analytical balances, pipettes, and volumetric glassware
- Clean and maintain laboratory glassware
- Keep workspaces clean, safe, and organized
- Track and manage laboratory inventory
- Familiar with lab safety and good laboratory practices
- Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree highly preferred in a Science related field, Biology, Physics or Chemistry
- Will take someone with their Associate's but pay will be lower
Pay
$23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
