Urgently Hiring Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) – Tabernacle, NJ

About the role

Home To Stay is seeking a dependable and compassionate Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support a VA client in Tabernacle, NJ. The caregiver will assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, daily routines, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. No transportation, shopping, or errand‑running is required for this case. A dog is present in the home, so the caregiver must be comfortable working around dogs.

Responsibilities

• Provide transfer assistance as outlined in the care plan
• Assist with prescribed exercises/routines according to the care plan
• Prepare meals for the client
• Keep the client’s areas tidy and clean up messes made during the shift
• Assist with laundry as needed
• Provide attentive, respectful care in the veteran’s home
• Document care provided according to the care plan
• Maintain dependability, compassion, and professionalism

Requirements

• Active New Jersey CHHA certification
• Reliable transportation to and from the client’s home
• Comfortable working around dogs (a dog is present in the home)
• Ability to follow the client’s care plan and VA case requirements
• Strong communication and observation skills
• No transportation, shopping, or errand responsibilities for this case

Pay

$22 per hour
