Ambitious veterinarians are needed for an urgent care position at Mountain View Veterinary Hospital in Lacey, Washington.
About the role
This role is primarily focused on urgent care, but we welcome candidates interested in a mix of General Practice and Urgent Care. The team is comfortable handling advanced procedures such as GDVs, splenectomies, C-sections, blood transfusions, and more. Case involvement is based on individual comfort levels, and collaboration is readily available.
Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of urgent and emergent cases in-house
- Treat common urgent care presentations such as ear infections, vomiting, inappetence, lameness, diarrhea, skin conditions, ADRs, and toxicity cases
- Collaborate with a highly experienced team of 7 licensed veterinary technicians
- Work flexible hours, including Sunday coverage
- Practice medicine with high standards of evidence-based medicine and client communication
Requirements
- Experience in urgent care medicine
- Comfortable with advanced procedures such as GDVs, splenectomies, C-sections, blood transfusions, and more
- Strong clinical support and case management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current state license
- Experience with emergency medicine

Pay
Competitive base salary with no negative accrual
Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts per week, with Sunday coverage required. Other days are negotiable. Hospital hours are currently 8:00am–7:00pm on weekdays. Weekend hours are expanding, with a goal of being open until 7:00pm on Saturdays and 6:00pm on Sundays.
