About the role
Our urgent care clinic is seeking an experienced veterinarian to provide medical care to a variety of animals. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Treat a wide range of animal patients, including dogs, cats, birds, and small mammals.
- Perform routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatments as needed.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries, using diagnostic tools and medications as necessary.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure smooth patient care.
- Keep detailed records of patient visits and treatments.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in your state.
- At least 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology.
- Experience with common veterinary procedures and medications.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
