Urgent Care Veterinarian

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA (North Hills) is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our team in a large referral setting which includes seven criticalists combined at our three Pittsburgh locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to critically ill or injured pets
• Utilize cutting-edge diagnostic tools and perform life-saving procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists
• Communicate clearly with pet owners about medical conditions and treatment plans
• Contribute to exceptional care and make a real impact on the lives of pets and their owners

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree required
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required
