Urgent Care Veterinarian
About the role
BluePearl Pet Hospital in the Town Center area of Virginia Beach, VA is hiring Urgent Care Veterinarians. This position can be full-time or part-time with flexible and adjustable hours.
Responsibilities
- Consult with, or refer to, our surgery/internal medicine teams in addition to delivering emergency-tilted medical and surgical skills.
- Expand your comfort in practicing autonomously through advanced training opportunities in endoscopic foreign body retrieval, emergency surgeries, and ultrasound capabilities.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in urgent care and emergency medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced surgical and diagnostic skills.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited school.
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Virginia.
- Completion of an ACVIM residency program in Emergency and Critical Care preferred.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in using hospital equipment and software.
