Urgent Care Technician

About the role

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinary Technician to join our emergency and specialty team during a period of growth. The hospital is expanding to better serve the needs of Cape Cod, the Islands, and the surrounding communities, offering additional space, advanced diagnostic capabilities, and continued growth across emergency and specialty services.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians throughout the patient visit, providing efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care.
• Work closely with veterinarians and emergency team to assess, treat, and support non-critical urgent cases.
• Participate in triage support for stable urgent cases.
• Collaborate with the medical team to provide comprehensive care.
• Engage in client education and discharge support.

Requirements

• Two years of general practice experience preferred.
• Strong interest in urgent care and emergency medicine.
• Comfort working swing shifts, weekends, and a holiday rotation.
• Effective communication skills and a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• CVT, RVT, or LVT certification.
• Desire to obtain technician licensure.
• Interest in pursuing a VTS.
• Experience in urgent care, emergency, specialty, or high-volume general practice.
