Urgent Care Technician

Responsibilities

• Deliver urgent care to ICC and Express Care patients under the direction of a licensed practitioner.
• Support nursing and medical staff with patient care tasks and procedures.
• Assist with patient triage, receiving and assessing patient symptoms, and determining appropriate care.
• Perform patient care tasks such as venipuncture, IV insertion and removal, vital signs, specimen collection, and wound care.
• Respond to call lights and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document patient care activities and maintain inventory and cleanliness.
• Complete quality improvement activities and participate in sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• EMT-Paramedic Certification required.
• CPR Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certifications a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an acute care environment.
• Experience starting IVs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
• May require Phlebotomy certification within 6 months of employment.

Pay

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57; EMT-P's is $20.59-30.89/hour. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
