The Senior Veterinary Assistant at UrgentVet - Canton plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art urgent care clinic. The ideal candidate should demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding patient care, including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
• Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculations
• Support facility maintenance and client education
• Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• May be required to travel for on-site training and onboarding

Requirements

• Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, and healthy communication skills
• Energetic and people-and-pet oriented with an excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills
• Willing to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting
• Able to lift 40 lbs
