About the role

The Opportunity ConvenientMD is hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality patient care while benefiting from opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs.
  • Absorb and document patient information accurately and communicate with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
  • Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as blood draws, phlebotomy, airway support, oxygen therapy, and using an AMBU bag for ventilation.
  • Administer medications and immunizations according to protocols, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
  • Handle patient follow-up calls, addressing inquiries about their care plan, sharing and explaining test results, and discussing any changes in medication or therapy.
  • Maintain clear and empathetic communication with patients, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout their care journey.
  • Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
  • Welcome and support the training of new team members.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • State licensed registered nurse (RN) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification.
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Experience: 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
