About the role
The University Hospitals Urgent Care seeks talented, patient-oriented physicians committed to providing exceptional customer service and uncompromising medical care.
Responsibilities
- Plan, evaluate, and implement high quality medical care with appropriate resource management.
- Deliver the highest standard of patient satisfaction at all times.
- Provide patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and University Hospitals Urgent Care policies and procedures.
- Provide and/or serve as a resource for patient/family and staff.
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
- Participate in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the urgent care.
- Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
Requirements
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) and Licensed to practice medicine in the state of practice.
- Current DEA registration.
- Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
- Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
- BLS certification (provided by University Hospitals Urgent Care).
- Mets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care.
- Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.
