Urgent Care Physician - Remote APP Supervision

For our client, we are seeking a Urgent Care Physician - Remote APP Supervision to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will provide remote physician oversight for advanced practice providers in an urgent care setting, ensuring clinical quality, timely decision-making, and appropriate supervision. The physician will collaborate closely with APPs and support safe, effective patient care through consultation, documentation review, and escalation guidance. This position also contributes to onboarding, quality improvement, and peer review efforts that help strengthen team performance and care delivery. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $180,000 – $220,000 annually Responsibilities Provide timely clinical consultation and support to APPs remotely Review cases requiring physician involvement and provide clinical guidance Direct clinical actions when concerns arise, including treatment recommendations Review and cosign APP documentation as required Support newly hired APPs during orientation and enhanced supervision Participate in quality improvement and peer review activities Support APP practice within authorized scope and supervision requirements Qualifications Must reside in South Carolina Board Certified or Board Eligible in medicine Current DEA registration Experience with procedures like suturing and abscess drainage Experience reading diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs BLS certification, provided if needed Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred Benefits Fully remote position with flexibility Opportunity to impact patient care and team dynamics Engagement in quality improvement initiatives Supportive team environment Professional development opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
