Urgent Care Physician

About the Role

Part-time Urgent Care Physician position in Hauppauge, NY with a national wound physician group. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. You will become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors while utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.

We provide physician-level wound management training and a wound fellowship to ensure clinical excellence. Full-time W2 physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits, with a typical workweek of 45 hours for full-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients daily.
• Perform clinical documentation at the point of care in real-time using our proprietary wound-specific EMR.
• Travel to facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of the practice location (mobile practice).

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time roles.
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available).

Schedule

• Full-time: Monday–Friday (7 AM–4 PM), 4–5 days per week.
• Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week (flexible scheduling).
• No call or weekend clinical responsibilities.
