Urgent Care Physician

About the role

National Wound Physician Group is seeking a part-time Urgent Care Physician for its Springfield, IL location. This position offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors.
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities.
• Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound specific EMR.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week for part-time role.

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 days per week.
• Full time role: 4 – 5 days per week.
• Full time work: Monday – Friday (7am-4pm).
• No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities.
• This is a mobile practice: physicians visit facilities in a 40 – 60 mile radius of practice location.

Training

• Physician level wound management training and a wound fellowship providing all knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence.
• Paid Training is provided during onboarding plus 6 months wound care fellowship.

Compensation

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits.
• W2 employment contract (No work visa sponsorship is available).
