Urgent Care Physician

About the Role

Full-time Physician (MD/DO) position in an Occupational Medicine/Urgent Care setting in Bakersfield, CA. This role focuses on delivering high-quality medical care with no call, weekends, or nights required.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and treat injuries.
• Conduct routine check-ups and physical examinations.
• Document patient information accurately.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, PAs, NPs, surgeons, and therapists.
• Refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Stay current with medical advancements through seminars and professional development.
• Maintain a compassionate and trustworthy environment to foster patient trust.
• Coordinate with specialists and ensure detailed record-keeping.
• Conduct DOT exams and understand disability ratings (preferred).

Requirements

• Valid California medical license and DEA certification.
• Excellent communication and diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of medications, legal guidelines, and confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Preferred experience in Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, or Occupational Medicine.
• Certifications such as FMCSA and MRO are a plus.
