Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Plainville

About the role
Coordinates and provides care for a group of patients spanning all age groups and cultures for a designated time frame using therapeutic means, the laboratory process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members while assuming responsibility and accountability for these patients. Responsibilities include providing patient care in an ambulatory care setting under the clinical supervision of a physician or MD within the guidelines of the nursing process and nurse practitioner protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
Reports to: Medical Director (clinically) and Practice Manager (administratively).
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients within an ambulatory care setting.
- Coordinate assignments, workflow, and activities while providing guidance to Medical Assistants.
- Demonstrate clinical competence and positive interpersonal communication skills.
- Effectively communicate with all age levels served within the scope of the position.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school, master prepared with a degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Massachusetts licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Departmental specialized training to provide care to patients within role and successful completion of SMH orientation program.
- CPR certification.
- MA NP license, DEA, and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to health and safety.
Qualifications
- Command of verbal and written English.
- Operation of clinical equipment.
- Three to five years of medical office experience.
- Good organizational skills.
Educational Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing/Nurse Practitioner.
Pay
Salary range: $109,280.04–$171,079.79 (based on full-time employment). Actual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This range does not include the value of Sturdy Health’s benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
