Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner (NP)

About the role

AMN Healthcare seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for urgent care locum tenens support. The facility needs coverage as soon as credentialed until a permanent hire is made.

Responsibilities

• Laceration repair: simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
• Incision and drainage (I&D) including packing
• Foreign body removal
• Minor burn management
• Skin lesion care
• Orthopedic & injury stabilization, splinting & casting, joint reduction
• Diagnostic & point-of-care testing
• X‑ray interpretation
• Electrocardiogram (EKG)

Practice setting: outpatient. Patient population: birth to death, varying daily.

Requirements

• Current Virginia (VA) state license
• Credentialing timeframe: 60‑90 days
• Qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Schedule

3 days per week, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. (12‑hour shifts), start date ASAP.

Pay

$82.45 – $89.25 per hour.
