Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

About the Role

Provide orthopedic urgent care services in an outpatient clinic setting, primarily during day shifts. The clinic serves patients of all ages with a focus on acute orthopedic issues.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages with acute orthopedic issues
• Interpret X-rays
• Document care in Epic EMR
• Manage a caseload of 30-35 patients daily, focusing on outpatient orthopedic visits

Requirements

• Active Virginia medical license
• DEA registration
• Board certification
• Prescriptive authority
• Current licensure and credentials

Support & Environment

• Work alongside 1-2 medical assistants and midlevel clinicians
• On-site surgeons and pain physicians available weekdays
• No call responsibilities required
• On-site facility with weekday hours of 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM and weekend hours of 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
