Essential Functions
- Maintains medical condition of patients and makes decisions regarding treatment changes under supervision of a physician.
- Reviews medical records, takes comprehensive medical histories, and performs physical examinations to determine and assess health status of patients.
- Orders and administers appropriate medications, or refers patients to specialists as needed.
- Performs screenings and diagnostic tests as required.
- Completes required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Participates in clinical education of healthcare students.
- May be assigned to lead work, clinical coordination, health station management, or special projects.
- Communicates effectively to elicit information, negotiate problem resolution, and support various programs or policies.
- Fulfills departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree from an accredited medical school.
- NP-Nurse Practitioner - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies license.
- PA-Physician Assistant - State Medical Board license.
- CSRC-Controlled Substance Regulation Certification - DEA - Drug Enforcement Agency certification.
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical principals and procedures.
- Knowledge of community resources for appropriate procedures.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment.
- Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Ability to prepare accurate reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public.
- Computer skills required.
- Computer skills preferred.

Pay
$64.71 - $72.16 / hr
