Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

CareNow Urgent Care is seeking a board‑certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work full‑time at our McAllen clinic location.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care services to patients ages three months and older.
• Perform first reads on x‑rays.
• Treat acute illnesses and injuries for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform incision & drainage (I&D) procedures.
• Suture wounds as needed.
• Deliver care in an outpatient setting with no hospital rounds or ER call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Board certification.
• Texas state medical licensure and DEA registration.
• Qualified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Skills

• Comfortable seeing patients from three months of age and up.
• Ability to perform first reads on x‑rays.
• Proficiency in patient treatment procedures for acute illnesses and injuries, including I&Ds and suturing.
