Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-job training, life skills training, and supervision to individuals with disabilities.
- Write reports, including daily logs, utilizing professional and appropriate documentation skills.
- Serve as a liaison between RTR and the community, representing a positive and proactive attitude.
- Work in cooperation with the Case Manager to implement ISP objectives.
- Communicate all related issues to the designated Case Manager.
- Maintain area in a clean, orderly condition as outlined by the Program Manager.
- Provide support in a variety of community activities.
- Serve as an appropriate role model.
- Implement all behavior plan interventions as assigned.
- Adhere to all established lines of communication, dress professionally, and maintain a positive attitude with coworkers, families, and referral agencies.
- Adhere to the schedules and routines of the individuals and the program, including the Urban Youth Collaborative Program.
- Attend weekly professional development trainings/coaching sessions.
- Attend and complete assigned college courses at Massasoit Community College, if applicable.
- Adhere to agency safety standards.
- Perform additional duties or substitute for others as required.
- Adhere to all RTR policies and procedures.
- Develop and provide all services in accordance with RTR’s philosophies, including staff and Board beliefs.
Requirements
- Successful completion and maintenance of all state and agency-mandated trainings.
- Willingness to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
Qualifications
Language Skills
- Fluent in English with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals under supervision, employees of the organization, families, and members of the community.
