UR Specialist Supervisor
About the Role
Supervisory position responsible for the leadership and supervision of the Utilization Review (UR) Specialists and Office Coordinator. This role involves the collection, aggregation, analysis, and reporting of complex clinical data to support efficient utilization of clinical resources and clinical improvement activities. The data collected will ensure appropriate reimbursement for medical services, justify requirements of accrediting organizations, and support clinical improvement activities such as the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical guidelines. This position also provides support to the three Case Manager/UR Specialists at BAPTIST HEALTH's three regional facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Utilization Review (UR) Specialists and Office Coordinator.
- Collect, aggregate, analyze, and report complex clinical data.
- Support efficient utilization of clinical resources and clinical improvement activities.
- Ensure appropriate reimbursement for medical services.
- Justify requirements of accrediting organizations.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical guidelines.
- Provide support to Case Manager/UR Specialists at three regional facilities.
- Serve on the UR Committee.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing; postgraduate degree preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of Arkansas.
- Recent UR-related experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Certification in UR preferred.
- Supervisory experience and ability to lead a small team of 10-15 employees.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM.
This job is authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
