Upper School Math Teacher

About the role

The St. Paul’s Schools is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic upper school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pre-Calculus Honors and AP Calculus AB using a balanced approach of conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and skill development.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students feel challenged, supported, and known.
• Absess student learning and provide timely, thoughtful feedback.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with the Math Department to maintain curricular alignment and uphold high standards.
• Sponsor clubs, coach, lead trips, support student ventures, or contribute to extracurricular programs that align with your interests and talents.
• Participate fully in the life of the school, from community events and celebrations to interdisciplinary initiatives and special programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Prior experience teaching high school mathematics, including honors or AP-level coursework.
• Familiarity with AP Calculus AB expectations and exam preparation.
• Enthusiasm for working with adolescents and supporting the mission of an independent girls’ school.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,800 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
