About the role
Cooperstown All Star Village is the premier youth baseball tournament destination in Oneonta, NY, delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to athletes, families, coaches, and spectators. Our diverse dining outlets, including high-volume concessions, family-friendly restaurants, casual sports bars, and team-focused dining spaces, combine innovative menus, energetic service, and modern operational tools such as MarginEdge, Square POS, and 7Shifts to drive revenue, maximize efficiency, and elevate guest engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring, according to recipes and specifications
- Assist in cooking and assembling menu items under the direction of chefs and line cooks
- Portion, label, and store prepped food items properly in coolers, freezers, and storage areas
- Maintain clean and organized workstations, including utensils, equipment, and prep areas
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards at all times
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Assist with unloading deliveries and stocking inventory when needed
- Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficient service during high-volume periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen preferred (restaurants, catering, or banquet service)
- Knowledge of food safety and proper handling techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
