UPK Assistant Teacher-CDA Required

About the role

The State Pre-K Assistant Teacher is responsible for instructing 4-year-old's, based on needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Caring! Follow all licensing guidelines, company standards and grant program requirements to ensure the daily care of every child in your classroom.
• Engaged! Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Knowledgeable! Complete extensive training that provides insight on child care, preschool and development topics.
• Creative! Implement curriculum while creating fun, interactive learning experiences for the children.

Requirements

• Associates in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related or an active CDA in Preschool.
• Experience in a licensed childcare center or related field.
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our center requirements.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Qualifications

• Passionate about early childhood education and development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of children and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safety protocols.

Skills

• Excellent communication and observation skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of child development theories and practices.

Pay

Pay $17-19 hourly, Bi-weekly and Daily Pay options; based on Position, Education and Experience / any other compensation offered
