Responsibilities
- Follow all Wabash Nationals WPO guidelines
- Achieve all required certifications
- Work safely and use proper PPE
- Work in a team environment
- Perform repairs and procedures in a safe and timely manner
- Read work orders and VINs before starting assignments
- Operate pneumatic and battery-powered cordless tools
- Read basic drawings and prints
- Operate lifting devices (forklift/stacker)
- Apply adhesives and mechanical fasteners
- Operate sanders and apply light-duty paint material
- Operate saws and drill press equipment
- Record part numbers on work orders
- Perform basic electrical system tasks (12v or automotive)
- Perform other duties assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Intermediate mechanical skills/knowledge and welding experience preferred
- Current driver’s license
- Experience with truck body or equipment manufacturing repair
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with minimal supervision
- Ability to work off scaffolding up to ten to twelve feet
