About the role
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Grounds Maintenance Worker 2, Facilities Management. The schedule is M-F 6:00am to 2:30pm. Employees must possess and maintain a valid State of Nevada Driver’s license as a condition of and throughout employment.
Responsibilities
- Weed and trash removal
- Sweeping sidewalks
- Debris removal
- Perform general labor in maintaining grounds using hand tools such as rakes and shovels
Requirements
- Valid State of Nevada Driver’s license
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Per Executive Order 2026-001, all minimum qualifications have been waived until June 30, 2026. Please refer to the link for more information: Executive Order 2026-001
- Preferred Qualifications: Six months of experience performing basic grounds maintenance work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience; OR six months of experience as a Grounds Maintenance Worker I in Nevada State service.

Pay
Grade 22, Step 1, salary $39,421.44. Initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade.
