About the role

Greene Resources is seeking a Hand Bindery Supervisor to join a growing and dynamic team!

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the hand bindery department, ensuring production schedules and deadlines are met while exceeding quality expectations and budgetary goals.
• Assist in scheduling projects in the hand bindery as needed to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to department leads while managing a workforce of temporary employees.
• Conduct interviews, provide counseling, and conduct performance reviews as needed.
• Order consumable materials for the department (Shrinkfilm, Strap material, Tapes, etc).
• Monitor incoming jobs and plan/request temporary labor accordingly.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance of all equipment and ensure that all equipment is in safe working order at all times.
• Ensure all departmental housekeeping standards are followed and maintained consistently.
• Conduct regular employee trainings, including safety and technical trainings.
• Review and update departmental SOPs as needed.
• Provide regular reports to plant management on various KPIs.
• Ability to set up and run all equipment in the department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing required. Printing experience preferred.
• Effective organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong use of Excel and other Office software applications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, and walk.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay

$60,000 to $65,000/year

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 1st shift
