Unpaid Language Assistance Intern (Spanish Only) - Repost
The New Jersey Judiciary offers an Unpaid Internship in bilingual direct customer service. Interns will:
- Observe various types of court proceedings and court interpreting events
- Receive mentorship and guidance on bilingual careers within the judiciary
- Aid with court greeting and providing basic information to Spanish-speaking court users
- Receive academic credits
The internship lasts one college semester and is open to those interested in a career in this field. Applicants must have completed thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university, or have graduated within one year of applying. They should be proficient in both Spanish and English, responsible, and reliable.
To apply, candidates must submit:
- A cover letter referencing the announcement number and including daytime and evening contact numbers
- A current resume
- A current transcript showing completion of Spanish language classes at level 200 or above
- An application recommendation from a current faculty member
Physical requirements include the ability to climb, stand, stretch, bend, reach, lift up to 75 pounds, and occasionally carry supplies weighing up to 50 pounds. Applicants must also provide proof of authorization to work in the United States.
