Admissions Requirements

Traditional (Pre-licensure) BSN Track

• Limited-access, holistic review due to classroom and clinical placement constraints
• Minimum overall GPA: 3.0 (4.0 scale)
• Minimum pre-professional GPA: 3.0
• Minimum grade of C in all pre-professional prerequisite and General Education courses
• Completion of the HESI Academic Assessment (A2) Exam
• All General Education and pre-professional requirements must be completed by the end of the spring semester before admission

Transfer Students (from Florida Public/State Colleges) – Traditional BSN

• Same GPA requirements: 3.0 overall and 3.0 pre-professional
• Minimum grade of C in all prerequisites
• Completion of HESI A2 Exam
• Submit NursingCAS application including essays

Accelerated BSN Track (for students with prior bachelor’s degree outside nursing)

• Minimum GPA: 3.0 or higher based on either the most recent 60 credits or cumulative GPA for graduate degrees

RN to BSN Program

• Minimum GPA: 2.8
• Designed for working registered nurses, delivered fully online
• Admission available every Spring and Fall semester
• Part-time, flexible curriculum
• Clinical components completed using digital simulation technology (Shadow Health virtual clinicals)

Schedule & Format Flexibility

• RN to BSN program is fully online via UF Online, accommodating working RNs
• Dual degrees or double majors are not permitted for Nursing students
