Admissions Requirements

• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better (C− or lower not accepted)
• For repeated science courses, the higher grade will be used in prerequisite GPA calculation
• All nursing prerequisites, general education requirements, and state-mandated graduation requirements (ethics, writing, civic literacy, exploring human experience, oral communication) must be completed by the end of the semester in which you apply
• Holistic admissions process considering experiences and academic metrics
• Approximately 300–400 applications received each semester, with a target of admitting about 150 qualified students

Schedule & Format

• BSN: Full-time, in-person for the first three semesters on the Tallahassee campus; Semester 4 is asynchronous, permitting coursework completion anywhere in Florida where FSU has affiliation agreements. Admits in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Upper-division transfer students may apply but must meet all prerequisite and admission criteria.
• MSN: Fully online and asynchronous, with no required campus visits
• DNP – FNP Track: Primarily online with asynchronous coursework
• MSN — Nurse Practitioner (FNP): Primarily online with asynchronous coursework
• MSN — Nursing Administration: Fully online and asynchronous
• MSN — Nursing Education: Fully online and asynchronous
• RN to BSN: Final semester is asynchronous, allowing coursework completion anywhere in Florida
