About the role

The Gagliardi Group is seeking a highly motivated and innovative scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, physics, or a related field and experience in computational modeling and data science.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply advanced quantum and classical simulations to study chemical systems and materials
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and analyze experiments
• Utilize data science techniques to interpret experimental results and guide future research directions
• Write and maintain scientific software tools and documentation

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field
• Experience with quantum and classical simulations
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Research experience in computational chemistry and materials science
• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of quantum mechanics and statistical thermodynamics
• Experience with molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations
• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
