Description

Under the general direction of the men's basketball head coach, assist in all aspects of an NCAA Division I men's basketball program including student recruitment, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, assisting with the administration of summer camps and clinics, and administration of the men's basketball program in full compliance with NCAA and university rules and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be CPR & First Aid certified bi-annually.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Collegiate level (or comparable) coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of basketball.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of basketball. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, the Big West Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• 70% – Coaching
• 30% – Recruiting

Pay

• $90,000/annually; commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Nights and weekends as needed based on team schedule.
