UC Davis Grad Students at Bobelaine

The Education Committee will host another event on July 1, 2025, featuring SAS Volunteer Rich Howard. Rich will meet with a group of University of California, Davis students and educators at Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary to discuss local freshwater ecosystems.

• Learn about regional bird communities and their connections to riparian and wetland habitats
• Participate in a field-based educational experience for graduate students focusing on freshwater ecology and environmental systems across California and the Italian Alps

Rich Howard's knowledge and insight were highly appreciated. His storytelling about the area and its bird migratory patterns within the river systems was particularly engaging. The group is grateful for Rich's time and effort.
