About the Role
Prep Academy Tutors is seeking University Consultants to provide personalized, in-home guidance to students and families through the college admissions process. This role is ideal for energetic, enthusiastic, and driven educators passionate about helping students achieve their post-secondary goals.
Responsibilities
- Guide students and families through the college admissions process with personalized, in-home support.
- Develop customized post-secondary plans based on each student's academic profile, interests, and goals.
- Assist students with North Carolina, out-of-state, and private college selection, application strategies, personal statements, extracurricular planning, scholarship opportunities, and admissions timelines.
- Collaborate with parents to keep them informed throughout the admissions journey and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Requirements
We’re seeking dynamic, compassionate professionals who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
- Have experience as a college admissions consultant, guidance counselor, or university advisor.
- Are a qualified teacher, counselor, or education professional with experience supporting students through the post-secondary planning process.
- Have experience working in college admissions, student services, or academic advising at an accredited college or university.
- Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university and enjoy mentoring students pursuing higher education.
- Are currently located in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, or Leesville.
