Universal Worker / CNA – Weekend Day Shift (Saturday & Sunday Only). Eventide Lake Country Manor!

About the role

The Universal Worker / CNA provides high-quality and safe personal care assistance to senior living tenants, adhering to federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as Eventide's philosophy, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self-administered. May give oral and trans-dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
• Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
• Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
• Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
• Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
• Socializes with tenants. Listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities – reading mail, writing letters, etc.
• Gives guidance, redirection, and re-orientation to tenants as needed.
• Develops a rapport with tenants and families to develop an understanding of the needs and interests.
• Documents in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development, implementation and review of tenant’s plan of care.
• Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior and/or general appearance to the nurse.
• Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
• Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
• Promptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to supervisor.
• Reviews communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
• Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
• Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
• Restocks supplies as needed.
• Assists with serving meals in dining room.
• Performs pet care per policy.

Requirements

Ideal Candidate Must have a current ND CNA license or be able to obtain one upon hire.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $18-$20.16 for Universal Worker/CNA per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.

Weekend Shift (Saturday & Sunday Only) 7AM TO 3PM
