About the Role

The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality service to Credit Union members by serving as a liaison between the member and the credit union. This includes greeting and welcoming members, providing information on membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other services, and performing various account and loan-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes credit union members and visitors in a professional and timely manner.
• Provides information to current and prospective members on membership eligibility, account types, loan products, and other services the Credit Union offers.
• Communicates information in-person, via email, written correspondence, and over the telephone regarding credit union services or policies.
• Handles member requests for transfers, share withdrawals, check requests, share certificate transactions, line of credit advances, and other requests.
• Provides information on first mortgage loans and processes second mortgage and loan products, including interviewing applicants, explaining approvals/denials, reviewing applications, and processing requests according to approval terms.
• Follows up with members on loan requests, educates them on Loan Protection Products, and quotes total loan payments including these products.
• Identifies opportunities to cross-sell credit union products and services based on member needs.

Requirements

• Knowledge of general credit union operational procedures, including cash handling, teller duties, member services, and loan processes.
• Education equivalent to a four-year high school diploma.
• Previous teller experience or member service experience is required.

Skills

• Accurate cash handling skills and ability to operate PCs, adding machines, credit card/check image equipment, calculators, and other office equipment.
