About the Role

Our Universal Bankers provide quality customer service and promote NASB’s products, services, and thoughtful solutions to make banking easy for our customers. You will be instrumental to the success of NASB by delivering exceptional experiences that help customers achieve their dreams.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service, greet each customer as they enter the bank, answer the phone promptly, and take ownership of each interaction, including supporting our mortgage sales team by making referrals.
• Assist customers in selecting various accounts and financial services, administer accounts, and positively impact retention of current customers while achieving branch sales and service goals.
• Resolve problems, issues, or questions to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Assist with branch-level marketing activities and promotions.
• Perform daily operations, including opening new accounts, cash controls, balancing, fraud prevention, handling customer transactions, and accurately completing all CIP requirements.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including those related to the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) compliance program.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent required; college degree or military equivalent preferred.
• One year’s experience in a retail or sales environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations leading to sales or relevant experience.
• Credit and background checks will be required.
• Ability to work branch hours Monday - Friday and alternate Saturday mornings.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Financial management and responsibility skills.
• Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt conversations about NASB products/services based on customers' varying needs in person and over the phone.
• Basic math skills, including the ability to solve problems and quickly identify currency denominations.
• Time management and organizational skills, including being detail-oriented and thorough.
• Bilingual skills desired but not required.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
