Responsibilities

• Explain products and services available and assist customers in selecting the most appropriate options for their financial needs.
• Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Interview customers to assess financial needs and correspond with applicants or creditors to resolve application questions.
• Cross-sell the bank’s products and services.
• Provide superior customer service, building strong relationships to ensure customers receive the best possible banking and financial solutions.
• Promote customer loyalty to Austin Bank by delivering prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
• Open deposit accounts, process teller transactions, take loan applications, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Recognize and refer cross-sell opportunities as appropriate.
• Perform all transactions according to specified guidance and prepare required documentation.
• Answer telephone calls, take messages, forward calls, or provide assistance to customers as needed.
• Approve loans within specified limits or refer to a specified lender for approval.
• Cross-train in other areas to provide assistance and back up as needed to ensure quality customer service.
• Participate in developing a teamwork atmosphere by attending meetings, contributing to discussions, and treating co-workers with respect.
• Maintain a clear understanding of banking regulations pertaining to deposit and loan products.
• Ensure all documentation for new loan and/or deposit accounts is complete and accurate according to policy.
• Maintain an organized and adequately supplied work area.
• Comply with bank policies, procedures, goals, and objectives, and adhere to customer confidentiality procedures.
• Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, and in-service meetings.
