Responsibilities
- Supervises and schedules daily activities of Tellers, Universal Bankers I and II; delegates work, maintains attendance records, and oversees daily proof and balancing.
- Manages branch cash operations, including vault management, inventory of negotiable instruments, compliance, security requirements, and adherence to cash handling policies.
- Performs security functions: opens main vault, verifies and distributes cash to staff, and balances vault as scheduled.
- Opens new accounts, assesses customer needs, provides information, and processes paperwork.
- Assists customers with consumer loan applications and provides advisement on loan products.
- Provides digital technical support, advisement, and onboarding for customers.
- Balances ATM, maintains safe deposit records, and processes wire transactions.
- Balances branch transactions at close of business day and completes periodic audits of compliance reports.
- May open and close branch office following established procedures.
- Delivers excellent customer service, resolves complaints, and provides backup to Assistant Branch Manager as needed.
- Performs Teller duties and other operational tasks to meet branch requirements.
- Serves as Notary Public.
- Supports business development by modeling positive sales behavior, coaching staff, identifying sales opportunities, and maintaining customer relationships.
- Promotes and utilizes CRM (Salesforce) within the branch team.
- Advises customers on consumer and business products, including cash management services, and makes referrals to other bank departments.
- Fosters an inclusive team environment and assists in training and developing staff on best practices.
- Contributes to performance evaluations and promotional recommendations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous cash handling and customer service experience in retail, including at least one year in a Universal Banker II position or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent oral communication skills; ability to be concise, clear, and consistent.
- Capable of working independently and solving problems.
- Proven supervisory skills with ability to coach staff and manage performance expectations.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing environments.
- Extensive experience using office equipment and applications: Microsoft Office, CRM, core banking system, digital banking solutions, cash recycler, and discriminator.
- Flexibility to work opening and closing hours as required by branch schedule, including occasional changes in work location.
- Ability to lift office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $26.50–$28.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant education, experience, and skills.
