About the role
This position contributes to sales targets by identifying and fulfilling simple sales opportunities and promoting Bank products. Responsibilities include greeting customers, opening day-to-day accounts, and working closely with team members to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and interact with them when they enter the branch.
- Resolve clients' service and maintenance related inquiries.
- Promote bank products and cross-sell/referrals to other TS Banking Group areas.
- Maintain and open all personal banking products and services, highlighting features and benefits.
- Open day-to-day accounts, fulfill pre-approved credit opportunities, and work closely with team members to ensure the optimal experience for clients.
- Interact with the local market to gain new clients and expand relationships with existing clients.
- Provide WOW client service through quality conversations, efficient and accurate processing of client transactions, and adhering to the Branch Service Level Agreement.
- Perform both account opening and transactional processes in the delivery of efficient, accurate, and professional service that defines exceptional client service and reputation.
- Proficient in personal account opening, maintenance, closing including checking, savings, and safe deposit boxes.
- Adhere to lean account opening process, check ordering, check cashing procedures, issue cashier’s checks, process wire transfers, account maintenance, transfer/sweeps, online banking and mobile banking maintenance, stop payments, process holds, and ACH/debit card disputes.
- Compliant with BSA requirements including CTR transactions, monetary instrument log, and detecting/reporting suspicious/unusual activity.
- Make appropriate referrals and possess a thorough knowledge of TS Banking Group products and services.
- Gather and organize client information based on referrals; answer questions regarding same; make follow-up calls; use CRM system to prepare and proceed with the next steps in referral process (current and prospective clientele).
- Participate in branch and bank business development activities including community events to promote the bank’s favorable image.
- Proactive aisle prospecting required for in-store bankers.
- Comply with all banking regulations, policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or GED certification.
- Additional post-high school education and/or training is preferred.
- One year of work experience in a financial institution, cash handling experience, and prior sales experience is a plus.
Skills
- Ability to operate the following: telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, fax machine.
- Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs.
- Advanced PC knowledge beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees of company and the general public.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to perform all other duties as assigned.

Schedule
Position may require the ability to work before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet required deadlines and attend meetings and/or training programs.
