Universal Banker

Role Overview

This position involves providing exceptional customer service through sales, support, and operational duties in a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with teller transactions, including deposits, currency handling, and check cashing, while minimizing wait times.
• Open and process new demand and time deposit accounts such as savings, IRAs, certificates of deposit, and money market accounts.
• Identify client needs via consultative conversations; recommend appropriate banking products and services.
• Cross-sell and refer clients to bank partners to foster business growth and deepen relationships.
• Conduct outbound calls to clients and prospects, participate in special campaigns, and ensure excellent client experiences.
• Support loan applications and coordinate processing with relevant teams.
• Maintain operational efficiency, perform audit controls, and assist with daily center operations.
• Stay informed on operational updates, compliance policies, and regulations, including bank regulations and risk management protocols.
• Enhance personal knowledge through training and web-based learning to serve clients better.
• Assist with training new associates, support branch management, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year experience as a Teller preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment like 10-key calculators and coin counters.
• Strong communication skills, client focus, and ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements, including background credit checks and licensing (e.g., S.A.F.E. Act).

• No supervisory responsibilities; ongoing employment contingent upon regulatory compliance.
• Ability to attend training and perform thorough job duties is essential.
