About the Role

This position provides personalized banking services to customers by performing the combined duties of a Teller and Personal Banker.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate needs of potential customers and offer appropriate financial products and services.
  • Prepare and compile new customer applications to open accounts, ensuring completeness of all documentation.
  • Provide ongoing relationship servicing to maintain customer goodwill and gain additional business.
  • Inform and advise customers on account status, enhancements, disputes, or other activity, and suggest resolutions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests regarding accounts.
  • Coordinate with back office personnel to resolve credit problems, delinquent payments, and related issues.
  • Promote and cross-sell financial products and services tailored to customer needs.
  • Assist in branch activities to meet customer needs efficiently and support profitability goals.
  • Perform teller duties, including paying and receiving transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Meet monthly teller balancing standards as outlined in the Teller Over & Short Policy.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and assist fellow co-workers as needed.
  • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsements.
  • Cash checks and pay out money after verifying signatures and customer balances.
  • Record customer transactions in the computer and issue receipts.
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
  • Explain, promote, or sell products and services to customers.
  • Service automated teller machines and night depositories, including removing deposits, counting, and balancing cash.
  • Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, and follow Red River Bank policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five years of banking experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently stands, walks, sits, stoops, kneels, or crouches. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
