About the role
Potomac Bank is seeking a Universal Banker I who can interact with the public, provide excellent customer service, and manage a variety of banking tasks.
Responsibilities
- Interact with the public and resolve their questions or problems.
- Familiarize yourself with and promote bank products and services.
- Identify and recommend suitable retail products to customers.
- Handle customer complaints and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and other employees.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions.
- Manage customer accounts, including opening and maintaining checking and savings accounts.
- Complete wire transfers and issue cashier's checks and money orders.
- Prepare and submit Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs).
- Balance cash drawers and count coins and currency.
- Operate automated teller systems and night drop bags.
- Oversee ATM balancing duties.
- Oversee security protocols, including maintaining secure work areas and handling currency limits.
- Follow bank policies and procedures, including those related to customer confidentiality and security.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of prior customer service experience.
- Outgoing personality with a service-oriented approach.
- Basic to advanced computer skills.
- Knowledge of bank operations and customer service principles.
- Ability to perform calculations and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Passion for learning and self-improvement.
